Jenny and her children faced a tragedy that no one should be forced to come up against: the loss of her husband and the father of her children. To make matters worse, she ended up losing her house in the fallout. 

She took her kids from shelter to shelter until SVdP helped her find a place to stay, then furnished it through the Bringing Hope Home program. 

Jenny said she was so excited that her children “aren’t going to be sitting on the floor during the holidays” in their new place. When they moved in, the children ran around the house in glee at their new home. 

“When we fill up and empty apartment and see those kids jumping up and down on that bed, it’s… you can’t put a dollar amount on that,” said one of the founders of the program, Mike McClanahan.
