The Global Village Champions Foundation, an organization founded by Yank and Yvette Barry and Muhammad Ali which strives to feed those who need it the most, hosted its 3rd annual Christmas in January event at our Phoenix Dining Room last week. During the event, emceed by NFL legend and Hall of Fame nominee Nick Lowery, guests had the opportunity to hear from Yank himself and from different athletes who delivered empowering messages of hope.
The foundation, which donated 150,000 meals to St. Vincent de Paul to help us continue feeding our hungry neighbors in Arizona, also celebrated achieving an impressive landmark: giving away 1 billion meals.
